"First International Spoon Collectors Conference. Pasadena, California. July 1980." Bill Boyd had 100 unnumbered spoons made in silverplate. He also had 25 spoons made in Sterling Silver which sold in 1980 for $125.00.
This spoon is stamped on the reverse: "Made in Canada. Ster. 22/25" which means that this spoon is #22 of the 25 spoons made in sterling. MB: $95.00.

2-888b-9049-6086. Assyrian Ladle. This pattern was patented in 1886 and is extremely collectible. The pattern was made with both men's and women's faces at the top — this one is the man's face. It is 11 ½  inches and is in excellent condition with no silver loss, no monogram, no heel wear and has crisp detail. The bowl has a sort of matte finish and is 3 ¾ by 3 1/8"

Among the many beautiful designs for spoons the Berkshire Hills have found a place, the design shown of the :Old Elem” pattern being an appropriate souvenir of the county seat of Berkshire. It represent a portion of the Old Park of 30 years ago, with the famous old elm, which towered high above all surrounding tree and buildings, the first branch of which was nearly 90 feet from the ground — the most prominent landmark of the town.  See: James Catalog. p. 184
