The Nashville. The handle terminates with a pedestal surrounded by wreathes, upon which stand a bust of General Andrew jackson. The likeness is a perfevct reproduction of Healy's portrait of Jackson. Handle has artistic letters: "Nashville." Bowl: Die work depicting "The Hermitage is perfect: the old rail fences, the dirt chimney, the ash hopper, the grass yard (accurate reproduction of the site. Reverse maked: Sterling. Maker: Gorham. Also marked with jeweler's name: G.H. Stief, who, according to description in Hardt i [p.43] was the jewelry company in Nashville, TN which produced and sold this souvenir spoon.
