The Spoon Collectors of Southern California (SCSC) was started in 1974 by Bill Boyd, sponsor of the American Spoon Collectors and editor and publisher of the Spooners Forum. The club has continued to function since Bill moved to the Midwest in 1980. The objective of the club is to promote the hobby of spoon collecting. Topics are selected for club meetings and are presented by club members or an outside speaker. Anyone sharing an interest in spoons is cordially invited to attend a meeting and to join the club.
Meetings are held on a bi-monthly basis in the months of January, March, May, July, September and November. Generally speaking, the January, September and November meetings are held on the third Tuesday evening of the month. A dinner meeting takes place on the third Tuesday evening in March and a luncheon meeting is held in May at a member's home. The annual Silver Collectibles Show, which is promoted by the club, is considered the July meeting. Meetings places, dates, times and topics are announced in the SCSC newsletter.
The annual Silver Collectible Show started in July 1976 when the club, under the direction of Bill Boyd, promoted the first National Spoon Collectors Convention in Pasadena. Antique and collectible dealers specializing in silver exhibit at the one-day show which is advertised and open to the public.
The SCSC Newsletter originated in 1990 when the club decided to meet on a bi-monthly rather than monthly basis. It is published four times a year in the months of February, May, August and November.

The Northeastern Spoon Collectors Guild holds two meeting per year. The Spring Meeting (at Chicopee, MA) coincides with the Brimfield Flea Markets in May. Generally, the meeting is held Thursday through Sunday with a banquet held on Saturday evening. At this Spring Meeting, Spooners enjoy the hunt, the find and the reward of the "fields" as well as trading, buying and selling at the meeting itself. The Fall Meeting is generally held in late October (or early November) at some other place in the Northeast. There is ample opportunity to explore the local antique shops and sites in the area. At each meeting, a member makes a presentation about souvenir spoons, a business meeting is held and a banquet is enjoyed. For additional information about the NSCG, see The Birth of the Northeastern Spoon Collectors Guild.
The Cauldron. As a member of the NSCG, you will enjoy a subscription to The Cauldron, the quarterly newsletter issues in March, June September and December. The newsletter is intended to be a means of communication among members. Each issue features articles and information about spoons and spoon collecting as well as a timely editorial on spoon related subjects. Regular features include: Meet Your Fellow Spooner, Mystery Spoons, Sales from the Crypt and Potion Notions (news about fellow Spooners) as well as updates on meetings, club reports and new-member listings. As a member of the NSCG, you are also entitled to place free ads in the newsletter. Your ads to buy or sell or request information will be published on a space-available basis.

The SouthWest Spoon Collectors Club was formed on October 6, 2001 in Plano, Texas, to facilitate spoon collectors throughout the South and Southwest. Two meetings are held each year in various locations. A newsletter is published twice a year containing interesting articles about souvenir spoons, spoon collectors and information about the club and it meetings.
At the first meeting in Plano, TX., it was decided to capitalize the W in the word "SouthWest" to emphasize the appeal to both those both in the South and the SouthWest. The SWSCC, however, welcomes anyone interested in spoon collecting to join the group and not just those in the South and Southwest. Please visit out club website at http://souvenirspoons.com/swscc
For information about membership, please contact Debbie Pankey, Membership Chairperson.
