| No place else is quite like New York City. Few cities can rival New York's supreme combination of culture, class and can-do attitude. New York City has numerous world-class museums, stellar restaurants, scores of superb Broadway theatrical productions and spectacular shopping. It is little wonder that sophisticated travelers consider a "Gotham City Getaway" as a great treat. In truth, there's probably no wish that can't be fulfilled in New York City. On our New York City Getaway, we will spend a day on Fifth Avenue, one of the most glittering promenades of the City. Rockefeller Center, St. Patricks Cathedral and Bryant Park offer wonderful opportunities to experience the life style of the City. Another day we will visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art a superb museum with an excellent tactile program firmly in place. Central Park will delight all our senses with its smells of a fresh April spring day. Our excursion to the cathedral of St. John the Divine will introduce us to the lofty grandeur of this great building while at Grant's Tomb we will speculate on just where Grant actually is buried. Our excursion to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island will offer a close encounter with a wonderful Lady. The Statue of Liberty Museum offers numerous tactile opportunities to explore this remarkable symbol of liberty who has welcomed the tired and hungry to America. During the day we will feast on the monuments and riches of the city but in the evening we will feed the palate at a number of gourmet restaurants some of the best that New York has to offer: Delmonico's Restaurant, Sardi's Restaurant, Carmines, Benson's and Le Perigord. These are all first class restaurants with fine reputations as dining establishments and frequented by those who enjoy good food.
