Las Vegas: Neon, Glitz, Casinos and Cities of the World

September, 2004 (exact dates to be decided)

Special Note: The dates for this Las Vegas program will be available in early November (2003).

Jet to six classic cities with Roberto: the world of neon and glitz all within walking distance of one another on this trip — Bellagio, Rome, Paris, Venice, New York and Monte Carlo. Count these elegant cities as destinations in your trip around the glittering world on The Strip in Las Vegas.

Your exclusive tour to La Vegas will find you taking up residence (5 nights) at the Bellagio — elegantly posh and glamorous. There are places in the world so exceptional that they don't require superlatives. They are best described with the simplest words. Bellagio is such a place: it meets every need; it fulfills every desire; the accommodations are unrivaled. A magnificent lake (Lago di Bellagio) filled with thousands of dancing fountains runs the length of Bellagio's gracious grounds. Fragrant gardens and the red tile roofs of Tuscan villas line the water's edge. One word and one word only comes to mind to describe Bellagio. Perfect!

From your residence at Bellagio we will jet over to Caesars Palace filled with all the excesses of the ancient Caesars: 18 fountains spew water at the entrances, statuary graces the public areas and the Garden of the Gods exemplifies the opulence of life on the Las Vegas Strip and in the Rome of the Caesars. The elegant upscale Forum Shop at Caesars is reason alone to stroll through this ancient market area.

Next we're off to Paris. At the Paris Las Vegas Resort, a 50-story Eiffel Tower dominates the skyline. A re-creation of the Arc de Triomphe as well as the Champs Elysées, the Paris Opera House, the Louvre, Parc Monceau and the River Seine makes visitors feel as if they are a continent away. Cobblestone streets and winding alleys lead past the Parisian inspired shops and restaurants of "Le Boulevard."

Next stop is Venice. The Venetian is breathtakingly sumptuous, with rich painted ceilings, fine Venetian glass chandeliers and beautiful marble floors. From the Campanile Tower entrance to the lavish re-creations of the Doge's Palace, St. Mark's Square and the canals, filled with gondolas and singing gondoliers, you will feel that you have actually been transported to the real city of Venice in Italy. While in Venice, we will visit Madame Tussaud's Celebrity Gallery which houses more than 100 realistic wax figures; every statue in the gallery is tactile.

Next stop is New York New York. — a re-creation of the Big Apple's skyline which rises incongruously above the intersection at Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue. A 150-foot-tall version of the Statue of Liberty (reproduced in every detail) and a 300 foot replica of the Brooklyn Bridge stand in front of the hotel — 12 guest room towers that are look-a-likes of such signature New York skyscrapers as the Empire State Building, the Seagrams Building and the Chrysler Building. Inside New York New York, the casino is decked out like Central Park: shops and eateries are located along winding walkways designed to recall Greenwich Village, Wall Street, Soho and other familiar New York neighborhoods.

From New York we will slip over to Monte Carlo where we will enjoy the turn-of-the 20th- century French Riviera, replete with French Victorian architectural accents, The entrance lobby of Monte Carlo presents an atmosphere of refined elegance: the entire lobby area is alabaster white trimmed with gold — replete with Romanesque archways, recessed niches, fountains and classical inspired statuary. Crystal chandeliers evoke the grandeur of the classic European hotels. Elegantly appointed, the casino is modeled after Monaco's Place du Casino. What better place to enjoy a few hours of gaming.

There will be ample time throughout the Las Vegas tour of these classic cities to test your gaming in the various casinos. Drinks are free and plentiful for anyone gaming in the casinos. Shopping in the up-scale shops will be a delight. Dinners at various restaurants will satiate your palate for fine cuisine. Las Vegas (à la Roberto) is a crafted jewel and a "magic space where the directions, front, back, left and right are not valid and consequently all orientation is impossible" — especially if one is overwhelmed by the splendor and if Lady Luck pays a visit.
